Hay fever, asthma, hives, nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, headaches, chills and inflammation of the skin are common allergic reactions. Allergens found in dust, pollen and common foods, such as milk, flour or soy, create these conditions in persons who are hyper (over) sensitive to them. In an effort to rid itself of the obnoxious substance, the body overreacts to the presence of the allergen and produces large quantities of antibodies and excessive amounts of histamine. High levels of histamine result in irritating symptoms like congestion and excess mucus.
Recommended Action
Over secretion of histamines can be inhibited by using herbal antihistamines, however, one should change to a Cleansing Diet which is low in mucus to obtain long-term relief. Cleansing herbs are beneficial in ridding the body of any accumulated mucus and drinking steam-distilled or reverse osmosis water increases the effects of both diet and herbs. See specific conditions (sinus, respiratory, skin, etc.) for relief from these symptoms. Often many allergies disappear when the body is cleaned out. Clean lungs, with little mucus, usually stop lung allergies. Food allergies are often alleviated if the digestive system is restored to full capacity with a clean colon. Skin eruptions can be aided by cleansing the blood and colon.
There are several ways to aid in the identification of allergy producing substances (allergens). One of the simplest is that a person often becomes thirsty with 30 – 90 minutes of coming in contact with the allergen. This is most accurate with foods, but can also occur with environmental allergens. In additional material you can find other techniques to determine your particular allergens. Often there are co-factors to an allergy, meaning you need to come in contact with more than one factor to have a reaction.
